Lucy and David Kelsall were an ordinary married couple, making plans, dreaming of kids and a large, close-knit family. But alas, their dreams have never come true.
The couple had been trying to conceive naturally for several years, but Lucy, then 37, had no luck getting pregnant, although all her tests were normal. During one of the regular checkups, it turned out that David, then 45, had a serious problem. The man was diagnosed with cancer, though David never suspected that something was wrong with him. It was only not long ago that he began to feel unwell, but he never thought it could be cancer.
David needed serious, rather aggressive cancer treatment that could affect his ability to have children. So the couple decided to freeze the man's sperm so that they could become parents in the future.
However, the treatment did not yield the expected results. David's condition was quickly deteriorating. It was so sad that David was well aware of what was happening to him. When his wife once again came to visit him in hospice, he took her by the hand and asked her to promise that she would at least try to have their baby together. Lucy couldn't hold back her tears, but she made the promise. The couple decided that if they had a boy, he would be named David or Samuel. Two days later, David was gone.
Lucy decided to try IVF, even though she would be a single mom. The doctor warned the woman that there would only be enough frozen sperm for two attempts. The first attempt was unsuccessful; the woman's body did not accept the embryo. The doctors discouraged Lucy, fearing another failure, but she decided to repeat the procedure.
After some time the ultrasound showed that Lucy had 2 babies growing and developing in her womb! Seven months later Lucy welcomed two beautiful boys, whom she named David and Samuel.
This happened 3 years after her husband passed away. And when this touching story went viral on social media, Lucy started to receive gifts for the babies and donations from people all over the world.

First Kelsall was afraid whether she would be able to raise her kids alone, but with this help she has a lot more confidence.
But most importantly, Lucy is happy that she has been able to keep the memory of her beloved husband.
