Ollie was spotted roaming L.A. streets when he was just 3 months old. He was a scared little puppy... and had obviously already been through a lot, despite his young age. Animal control officers took him to North Central Animal Shelter, where he met a family he could only dream of.
Ollie soon got sick, but that didn't stop him from living a life of fun and love.
"It took him a few weeks to get over the illnesses he got from living on the streets and staying at the shelter," says Liz, Ollie's mom. "But he was still very happy in his new home."
Ollie's family doesn't know anything about his past, but they believe he had a rough start in life. He's afraid of loud noises, buses, and construction sites.
His hard life may have given him a special feeling – he always understands when his family members are upset about something.
Ollie's favorite pastime is running along the beach, playing in sand, and surfing.

"Ollie is very smart and attentive; he always notices someone is upset," Liz says.
Ollie is always grateful when he is taken on family outings, or trips around the country.
Since being rescued, Ollie has become an amazing little dog. He even has a special hairstyle.
