This beautiful rescue story has recently happened in Bolivia. Levi DeWitt spotted a little mouse and lizard clinging on for dear life in his pool. The pool was not full, so the animals had no chance to get out on their own. There was no telling how long they had been in there, but Levi knew he had to act quickly, because their strength was running out.

The boy held out a twig to them, so that the animals could get out of the water.

Once on dry land, the first thing the little heroes did was to catch their breath. It took them several minutes to restore normal breathing.

Neither the mouse, nor the lizard was in a hurry to run away. On the contrary, they came closer to the guy and when he reached his hand to them, they immediately climbed on it.
