Two little kittens who had a similar hard start in life were brought to an animal shelter at different times. One was the only survivor of his family, and the other was found alone on the street.

These two babies were brought to Chatons Orphelins Montréal in Canada at different times. First, a black kitten named Shobby was found on the street. The lonely little guy, who had just opened his eyes, was spotted crying on the street. His mother was nowhere to be seen.

After several days of care from a kind shelter volunteer, Shobby grew stronger and healthier. He became very attached to the woman who nursed him back to health and cried constantly when she was not around. A few days later, another kitten was brought to the shelter. Criquet the kitten, like Shobby, was found on the street and he was the only survivor of his feline family.

Fortunately, the second kitten was also quickly on the mend. Although Shobby and Cricket were raised by different foster moms, they had something in common. They really needed love, support, and warmth that they once didn't get from their mom and siblings.

As time went on, the kittens got older, stronger, more curious, and playful. The shelter staff came up with the idea to introduce them to each other. Fortunately, Shobby and Cricket immediately hit it off, and started to play together as if they had known each other for a long time.

Now these two are a real team! It is impossible to see them apart because they spend all their time together playing, eating, sleeping, and exploring new places.

"They're amazingly cute and friendly," says the kittens' foster mom. "Shobby is a very vocal guy, and Cricket always follows suit. When Shobby meows, demanding attention, the other one is sure to do the same."
