One day Julie and Colin Reid from Stonehouse, UK, realized that they really wanted to take in a dog. The couple decided to kill two birds with one stone, and instead of buying a dog, they went to the Dogs Trust in Glasgow to adopt a dog of any breed. 8-week-old Arnie the Great Dane Arnie weighting more than 22lbs caught their eye.
The Great Dane is a large sized dog breed, but Arnie turned out to be bigger than a baby hippo.
At five months he is already 95lbs, and he is still a puppy...
The vets said that Arnie would grow at least twice as big! But the Reid family knew what they were getting into.
The family has a large plot of land at their house where the dog can freely exercise.
The most amazing thing is that besides Arnie, this family has four other dogs.
However, the Reids' other pets are quite tiny when compared to their baby hippo.
