Mohammed Ala Jalil is known in Aleppo, Syria, as a remarkable cat person. The kind man gives shelter to the cats who have become homeless due to the war in Syria. Not far from his cat shelter lived Amira, a stray dog that the man would feed. After learning that Amira was pregnant, Mohammed built a separate kennel for her, because it wasn't safe both for the dog and the cats to live nearby.
Unfortunately, all of Amira's puppies were stillborn. So volunteers came up with the idea to give her a teddy bear to help the doggie get over her loss. And that was the beginning of one warm and strong friendship.
Amira, a stray dog, came to the cat shelter when she was pregnant. Unfortunately, she has lost all of her pups.
Volunteers gave the pooch a teddy bear so that she could snuggle up to it.
But the teddy bear caught the interest of another shelter resident, the orphaned kitten Junior.
He came up to the toy and to the dog.
Junior wasn't afraid of the big doggie. He rubbed his face against Amira and so their friendship began.
After a while Amira didn't need the teddy bear anymore.
