A student agreed to rent a small apartment without seeing it because its price was very attractive. The guy packed up and quickly arrived to move in. But on site the student realized what the trick was. The apartment turned out to be a corridor.
The demand for apartments in Cambridge, UK, is very high. So Stephen was happy to find something for less than the market price. In the correspondence it turned out that the premises were not let by the landlord, he had transferred all his rights to a realtor.
The student was lucky not to sign a contract before moving in, that's what the realtor insisted on. Stephen insisted on a preliminary tour of the place while standing on the doorstep. When the door opened, he was surprised to see a narrow room in front of him, with a bed and a fridge along the walls.
"They literally wanted to give me a corridor. Doors on both sides lead into the main house," Stephen later told.
He did not rent the apartment. However, it will certainly be rented out, though the realtor will have to lower the price a little more.
