Several years ago the woman rescued a pair of pigeon chicks from the street. Now they are her beloved pets, with their own collection of clothes, toys, and customized strollers.
A couple of years ago, Meggy Johnson, then 23, rescued two baby pigeon chicks from the street, and now they are her beloved and extremely spoiled pets. The girl is a pet store owner, and it comes as no surprise that she is very fond of animals and birds. That's why her pigeons Sky and Moose are showered with love and luxury.
The young woman rescued the orphaned chicks when they were left alone to fend for themselves. She nursed them to heath by feeding them with a dropper around the clock and devoting all her time to them. The chicks have grown up healthy and are now adult pigeons. They have their own collection of clothes, toys, and they are even taken out for walks in a special stroller.
Meggy says she spends about $450 a month on her pigeons. The woman treats them as if they were her own kids. Her love for pigeons developed years ago, when she picked up her first orphaned baby pigeon and raised it.
"Some people would say let nature take its course but I think all animals deserve a chance and especially pigeons, they get such a bad rep," Meggy says.
Johnson wants to show everyone that pigeons are not the nasty, annoying birds what many people would think. According to Meggy, they are intelligent and charming creatures, which deserve love and care too.
