A blogger under the nickname Lexi has shared a video on TikTok with her 91,000 subscribers in which she washes her husband's pillows in the bathtub.
Tiktokers watched in horror the water in the tub where Lexi soaked the pillows gradually turn into a filthy brownish liquid, thereby showing just how much dirt there was in the cream-colored pillows.
In the comments, viewers started comparing the pillows to potato sacks and Titanic lifesavers, with some even gasping at the fact that the pillows were originally white, not brown, as many assumed.
"Stripping my husband's favorite pillows after 5 years," Lexi captioned her video, which has racked up more than 36 million views and almost 6 million likes.
After washing the old brown pillows became much lighter. Lexi also explained that she was going to put them in the washing machine to finish cleaning.
It's worth noting that some TikTok users couldn't understand why Lexi didn't just throw the pillows away and buy her husband new ones.
"Girl, why don't you throw out your Benjamin Franklin pillows?" one follower joked.
"I thought they were potato sacks," said another.
"Why don't you throw away Titanic lifesavers?" the third one asked.
"2 new pillows would be the answer," another person advised.

"I saw these get excavated from Tutankhamun's tomb," a subscriber joked.
"Everyone who suggests buying a new one has no idea what it's like to find the perfect pillow when you already have one. Others don't compare," one user who decided to stand up for the woman explained.
