Wolves are good-natured and noble animals only in fairy tales, but in real life they are extremely dangerous to humans. That's why injured wolves have almost no chance to survive. But the world is not without good people. This incredible story started when in Israel a wolf was hit by a car and ended up on the roadside with its hind leg broken. The poor animal crawled with difficulty to a ditch to hide, and lay there obviously no longer hoping for anything.

The average wolf is much larger than the Arabian wolf, the species resembling a middle-sized dog. The Arabian wolf lives in small packs in Israel and Yemen. The desert climate does not pamper these wolves with plenty of food, so in those places they are the ancient enemies of man because they steal cattle. This was one of the main reasons why no one bothered to help the injured wolf considering him as a pest that wasn't worth saving.

However, there was a Good Samaritan who spotted the wounded animal in pain and took it to the veterinary hospital. The vets named the rescued wolf Oliel.

Oliel was diagnosed with a broken hind leg, so he underwent emergency surgery to be able to walk again.

Oliel spent four months at the shelter while his leg healed. During this time, he got used to people, gained weight, and soon even let to be petted.

Of course, nothing lasts forever. The rescued wolf made an amazing recovery. The owners of the shelter contacted the driver who had picked up injured Oliel on the roadside. The rescuer and volunteers drove to where they found the wolf.
