Little Violet was just a couple of weeks old when she was found on the street with an injured front leg and sore eyes. Fortunately, the volunteers with Purrfect Match, Inc. of Sarasota, Florida, rescued her from the street. Upon examination, Violet was diagnosed with severe nerve damage to her injured leg as a result of a large animal attack.
In addition, Violet had such a severe eye infection that the vets considered the removal of one of her eyes.
The kitty's eyes were eventually cured, but after trying unsuccessfully to treat Violet's leg, the vets decided to amputate it. The kitty didn't take the surgery very well, and on top of that she needed more than just treatment. Trapped in a cage at the hospital, she meowed loudly in pain and loneliness. That's when volunteer Nadijah heard her.
"I went to see who was crying so loudly and saw little Violet, barely standing on three legs. I took her in my arms and she immediately snuggled up to me and purred. That same day she came home with me," Nadijah recalls.
Violet was slowly getting used to life on three paws. According to Nadijah, the kitty was walking around the apartment and would often fall down, get back up again, take a couple of steps and fall down again. And she still needed to continue treatment for her eye infection.
It wasn't until three weeks later that Violet recovered and her main problem was to get used to living on three paws.
"I had never met such a calm, friendly, and affectionate kitten. It was like she was genuinely happy that we've rescued her and gave her a second chance."
And then Violet was introduced to another kitten named Logan. Logan limps because of unsuccessful treatment of bone fracture

Right on the ruins of an eighteenth-century farmhouse, a posh modern house was built: let's have a closer look
"Violet instantly fell in love with Logan and took him under her wing. It was as if she blossomed after meeting him, became more active, more playful, bolder and more curious," Nadijah says.
Violet and Logan don't just play together, they love lying next to each other and cuddling. For cats, this is the highest degree of trust.
"And a couple of weeks later, we decided to find them an owner who would take them together, because they couldn't be separated anymore."
But while such a person was being sought for Logan and Violet, the cats were joined by Dexter. Dexter, a black and white rescued cat, was also young, but older than Violet and Logan, and despite the age difference, the three became inseparable friends.
Finding one owner for three cats at once seemed to be an impossible mission. But the trio was lucky. When the family, who had come to take in Logan (who was named Frye) and Violet, learned that they were inseparable with Dexter, they decided to adopt him, too.
Now all three kitties live in a spacious house in Sarasota and enjoy a peaceful life.
