After months spent on the street all alone, the pit bull decided to trust to strangers and started a new happy life.
A lone pittie named Veyron had been living close to a busy Los Angeles freeway for months. For a long time, his life was in danger, and he could have been hit at any moment. But one day, kindhearted people decided to take him to safety.
Veyron was reported to an LA animal rescue Hope For Paws. However, the rescue proved to be a challenge because the dog was extremely terrified. Members of the organization feared that if they got too close and too fast, Veyron might resort to drastic measures, such as running out onto the freeway.
Eldad, the founder of Hope For Paws, and other volunteers were finally able to corner Veyron, but they had to be careful. There was a mesh fence on the right, and a drop down to the freeway on the left.
Veyron tried desperately to break free, but finally, after months of living alone, he no longer had the strength to resist.
Being afraid that something terrible was about to happen, he hid his face from the rescuers. Then he was petted for the first time in his life, and his life and perception of people changed forever.
The pittie, who had never felt love before, finally allowed Eldad and the team to put a leash on him.

The dog was put in a cage so he wouldn't get scared again and try to run away. Although it was harder than expected to get him to safety, the volunteers finally succeeded. Veyron is now safe.
Since then, he has made friends with dogs and people, and thanks to Hope For Paws, he is no longer in danger of being alone or losing his life.
