A homeless mother dog cradled her only little puppy in a cold street. She kept him as warm as she could...
Residents of District of Columbia saw this heartbreaking scene on a street when it was freezing cold. A homeless mother dog cradled her only puppy and kept it warm as best as she could. After all, it was her most precious thing.
A Good Samaritan reported the canine family to the Project Freedom Ride shelter. Its staff immediately set out to rescue the dog family. When they arrived, they were worried about how the mother dog would react to people. But luckily, she turned out to be the kindest of souls, and quickly responded to affection.
The dog and the baby were taken to the shelter. They were examined and surprisingly no health problems were found. They had lived on the streets for so long, but the mother dog was only found with a couple of skin lesions. Mommy was named Mina and her puppy was named Milo. Mom and her son were then sent to a foster family to which they quickly used to.
At first the dogs were still shy in their new environment, but they quickly got used to it. They started to play together a lot, wagging their tails and asking for affection all the time, and they liked bathing. The foster parents fell in love with these adorable little dogs! For now, the doggie family lives with a foster family, and in March they will move to a forever home.
Thank you, kind people, for saving them!
