St. Louis city rescuers have recently received a call. Local residents told them about a dog that was wandering around the production area and asked for help. A shelter worker named Donna immediately went out to pick up the stray.

By the time the woman arrived, the workers had managed to get the dog into a fenced off area from where the pooch couldn't escape while waiting for rescuers. Donna got in there, and all she had to do was take he dog to the car. But that turned out to be a challenge. The closer she got to the dog, the farther the dog got away.

The pit bull even made a couple of warning barks, not letting the volunteer get close. Donna realized that she should first try to gain the dog's trust. She started talking to the pooch affectionately and throwing him sausages. This way the dog came closer, and understood that Donna posed no danger...

As the dog got closer, he did something that the volunteer never expected. The pittie put his head right in Donna's hands and looked into her eyes as if saying "Thank you!". After that, the dog was taken to the car. There the sweet pittie melted in the arms of his rescuer on the way to the shelter.

Fortunately, the doggie turned out to be perfectly healthy. The pooch was taken into a foster family, where he lives up to this day. This beauty is doing great learning to trust people and constantly thanking his foster parents for his rescue.
