While staying at the shelter, Sassy, a 3-year-old cat, would sit by the window every day waiting for someone to come and adopt her. Once in a new family, that habit remained.
The kitty arrived at the shelter last year. Since she was very upset about having been abandoned by her former owner, she had a hard time adapting to the new place. But then Sassy started to reveal her perky nature – the kitty had become very active and curious. So much so that she was given a larger cage than the other shelter cats.
One day Sassy's attention was drawn to a window that faced a busy street. She stood by it for hours, leaning her front paws on the window frame, and watching what was going on outside. Week after week she watched and waited for someone to come for her.
Paulette saw a picture of Sassy on social media and decided to adopt the kitty. The woman fell in love with the cat's cheeky personality the first time she met her. Now the kitty gets all the love she's been waiting for for so long.
Sassy got a new name - Molly. And there is also a wonderful window in the house, which the cat absolutely loves. The place is new, but the habits are old. But now Molly just observes and enjoys the view, rather than longs and waits.
