Dogs are amazing animals known for their unswerving loyalty. Ever since the Helfer family adopted the elderly blind chihuahua, a pit bull named Frank hasn't left his side.

When Christina Helfer from New York City first saw Tito, she was about to burst out crying. The 16-year-old Chihuahua was blind, barely breathing, wheezing all the time and was unable to move his back legs. His owner had fallen ill, and family members couldn't take care of the dog, so they had to surrender him to a shelter.

Christina took in the poor dog, and started treating him. Thanks to the woman, Tito found not only a home and loving owner, but also a loyal friend – the pit bull named Frank.

"Frank accepted him right away. He started getting to know Tito by sniffing and licking him," Christina said. "At first I was worried how Tito would react since he's very elderly and wasn't in good health. But he took to Frank just as much."

The family adopted Frank, a 2-year-old pit bull, last August when he was found in a junkyard completely emaciated, suffering from severe mange. He looks much like the family's other pit bull, Piper, who was rescued in a similar situation.

Frank has one amazing quality: he is happy when he takes care of others.

According to his owners, Frank instinctively takes care of dogs in need of help. Tito is no exception, as the doting pit bull never leaves his side. There is a special bond between the two.

Tito can't see or walk, but that doesn't stop him from enjoying life to the fullest! During their walks, Frank enjoys carrying his little friend on his back.
