Shy Luke the Dog was found on a London street. Volunteers immediately understood that he was a kind and gentle boy, and began looking for a home for him. But it wasn't easy.
This stray dog was picked up on the streets of the Battersea area of London. Then the dog ended up in the good hands of the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home shelter staff. There, he was nicknamed Luke, and it was identified that his age was about 5 years old.
Despite Luke's being a stray for a long time, he proved to be very kind, obedient, and sweet. Although he is timid and shy, sensitive to change and anything new, Luke is just adorable. When Luke's health had improved at the shelter, the staff started looking for a loving family to take him in.
However, it was not an easy task. After 6 months at the shelter, no owners have been found for Luke. Recently volunteers decided to throw an adoption party for Luke on February 14, inviting everyone who wanted to meet him. But no one came to the party.
Luke’s profile on the shelter’s website says: “Adorable Luke is looking for a home that will supply him with a bed near a radiator and a supply of soft toys! Luke arrived at Battersea as a stray so we have no history of his previous life. While Luke has made friends with all the staff he does have a sensitive side and can be worried about new people initially. New owners must let Luke settle into the home and introduce him to people slowly. You will know when Luke is comfortable as he loves nothing more than leaning in for a fuss and laying across your lap!”
The dog does not lose heart and hopes that very soon he will find the owners who will love him with all their hearts.
