Usually baby's first teeth do not appear before 4 months of age. However, there is an exception to every rule. So, according to medical records one in every 2,500 – 3,000 babies is born with one or even two natal teeth.

Avery Green from Blackpool, Lancashire, turned out to be such an unusual child.

Charming baby Avery was born on January 16, 2019, at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. The girl's weight was 6lb 7oz., and in general, the state of the newborn girl did not arouse doctors’ concern.

When the baby opened her mouth to let out her first cry, the doctors couldn’t believe their eyes. That was because the little girl had a real tooth growing from her bottom gum.

Avery's mother Bethany, 18, shares, "The doctors told me, 'Look how special your little girl is. She already has a tooth as if she were six months old.'"

After being discharged from the hospital, Bethany made an appointment for the little girl to see a dentist at Genix Healthcare Dental Clinic in Blackpool.

"Upon seeing Avery's teeth, the dentist was just amazed. He said he had never encountered anything like this before and had never had such young patients. He asked to let me show my little girl to the medical college students. And I said yes," Bethany says.
