A little Amber and a therapy donkey named Shock had both an equally difficult start in life. The donkey was spotted on the street with a rope tied around his neck and ended up at the Birmingham Animal Shelter. That's where he met Amber, a completely mute girl with cerebral palsy. They fell in love with each other at first sight. Not so long ago, while interacting with her adored donkey, the girl said the first words in her life, "I love you, Shock!"

Amber's fate wasn't easy either. The girl was born prematurely, and after birth she had to be operated on emergently. The surgery saved Amber's life, but it took away her ability to speak. Amber was also diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
