When Lianne Powell spotted a Greyhound with broken legs on the street and took her to the vet, she didn't know that it was just the beginning. At the vet's office, the dog had been whining until the doctors followed her to the street. Despite the pain, the doggie stubbornly wandered the known only to her two-mile path and finally led the vets to the place where the ten little puppies were hiding. The dog family was blessed!

The vets put a collar and a long leash on the dog and followed her. "We just followed her," vet Ellen Sobry said. "She obviously knew where she was going."

Limping and at times dragging her cast, the dog led the vets through streets and highways to the suburbs.

There, in the back of a truck stop, they found ten chubby, perfectly healthy puppies.

"I couldn't believe my eyes," Sobry says. "The dog didn't know us at all; we had only met an hour ago. It's just extraordinary that she decided to trust us and show us the place where she hid her babies."
