Not long ago, ginger brothers Phoenix and Cardinal were rescued from a street cat colony in Los Angeles. The life of these fluffy little guys was not easy. Having found a loving home, they took two tiny rescued kittens under their wing.
Cardinal and Phoenix were spotted handing around with a stray cat colony in LA. The feline gang lived in an abandoned house that was about to be demolished, but volunteers from Alley Cat Rescue took the two kitties in just in time.
The two beauties ended up in the home of Giana, a shelter volunteer. First, the terrified feral cats were afraid of everything around them and only huddled up together. Only after a couple of weeks, they got used to a new home and became friends with their foster mom.
Soon they were adopted by the family only to be brought back a few days later. The cats were taken in by Giana again. The kind woman continued to look for a forever home for them.
At that time Giana also took in two stray kittens so that they could have a chance at a better life.
The two sisters, Luna and Lupita, were nursed back to health and quickly grew in size and strength. When they got stronger the sisters were allowed into the same room with the ginger brothers. One morning Giana saw the sweetest sight:
Two brothers and little kitties were lying side by side, cuddling up and playing together! Cardinal and Phoenix took the sweet babies under their wing, licking and looking after them.

The ginger babysitters spent all their time with the little ones, teaching them all the cat stuff and tricks. Now that such responsible older brothers are around the kittens Giana is calm.
The little kitties are very lucky to be in the caring paws of their ginger brothers. They are happy to learn all the new things from their elders, and don't live their side for a moment.
Cardinal and Phoenix are still waiting for a forever home. Both the ginger brothers and the little sisters had a hard start in life, but thanks to kind people now they are safe and truly happy!
