Our life is quite unpredictable and we never know what the future has in store for us. Winnie the Chow had been a happy and carefree doggie but one day he became lonely.
One winter day a cinnamon chow was spotted roaming one of the suburbs of Toronto. Since people thought that the purebred dog must have gone for a walk and would soon return home, they didn't pay much attention to him. However, time passed, and the little guy continued wandering about the residential area.
At the moment when the pooch was chased by other dogs, a good Samaritan took pity on the poor thing and reported him to a local animal rescue. The kind-hearted woman did everything she could to drive away other dog from the frightened chow and she even waited till the volunteers arrived at the scene.
A month' living on the street had taken its toll. The poor fellow was extremely matted and definitely felt uncomfortable.
But what upset the vets the most was the dog's eyesight. The chow was partially blind. Due to a severe eye infection his one eye could not be saved. Fortunately, the vets did everything possible to treat with his second eye.
Winnie is currently in foster care. As it turned out later, the beautiful dog ended up on the street because his owner had passed away.
