Police officer Cardin of the Lakeland Police Department, Florida, spotted a tiny abandoned kitten hiding at the base of a lamppost. Cardin picked up the little girl and brought her to the station. But the kitten caught the eye of Sgt. Wallace who took her in his arms and cuddled her all night long.
Officer Cardin brought the kitten to the station and made a bed for her out of a cardboard box.
Another police officer, Sgt. Wallace, noticed that the pet looked extremely lonely and miserable. The kind policeman could not leave the baby alone so he took the kitty in his arms and decided to babysit her.
After cuddling the kitten all night long Sgt. Wallace couldn't part with her anymore. He named the foundling Kelsey and decided to adopt her. By happy coincidence, the kitten found her daddy on Father's Day.
