BenBen the cat was brought to a shelter in an incredibly poor condition. He wouldn't eat and interact with humans or other animals due to severe stress. The shelter staff wanted to put him to sleep, but luckily, at the last minute, a kind woman took pity on the kitty. And the cat virtually transformed before her eyes!
The orange tabby cat named Ben arrived at the shelter in a deplorable state: his spine was crushed, his ear was torn, and his body was covered with infected lacerations. Volunteers supposed he had been attacked by a large animal.
In addition, BenBen's worried look and down-turned eyes made him look very sad.
The kitty was taken to a veterinary hospital where he was treated for about 10 days.
Because of the cat's numerous medical conditions, he was considered unadoptable and scheduled to be put to sleep. Fortunately, at the last minute, just the day before the procedure, the veterinary hospital employee took pity on the kitty and adopted him.
The kind woman said that Ben changed virtually within an hour after she brought him home. The cat started purring, became affectionate, and no longer looked so sad.
