Renowned actress Jane Fonda, 85, who faced serious health issues this fall, has said that she feels "so blessed, so fortunate" that her cancer is in remission.
Earlier this fall, she was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. After that, the star began a course of chemotherapy.
Hollywood actress and model Jane Fonda shared the good news on her blog.
"The best birthday present ever! Last week my oncologist said that my cancer is in remission and I can stop chemotherapy. I feel so happy," the star said.
The celebrity also thanked everyone who supported her and prayed for her recovery. Fonda is sure that this is what helped her to get better as soon as possible.
"I thank all of you who prayed and sent good thoughts my way. I am confident that it played a role in the good news," the actress added.
Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is a less common cancer that develops in the lymphatic system, that is the vast network of vessels and glands in the body.
Jane Fonda will be 85 years old on December 21.
