Jason David Frank, the actor best known for his portrayals of the Green and White Rangers as Tom Oliver in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series, has passed away at the age of 49.

This is what was reported by TMZ, citing Frank Justin Hunt:

"Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being," Hunt said. "He loved his family, friends, and fans very much. He will truly be missed."

In 1993 Frank appeared in the first season the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as the Green Ranger fighting against the main characters of the evil alien corporation headed by Rita Repulsa. Due to the popularity of his character he later became a hero himself and even the White Ranger and the new team leader. It was this series that made him famous.

Jason David Frank has four children left.
