The Chihuahua is just 3.59 inches (9.14 cm) tall and 5 inches (12.7 cm) long. The record-breaking baby weighs only 1.22 lb (553 g).

Pearl was born in 2020 in Orlando, Florida, where she still lives with her doting owner Vanesa Semler.

At birth, the dog weighed less than an ounce. Semler notes that Pearl has an extremely calm disposition.

The previous record holder was a Chihuahua named Millie with a height of 3.80 inches (9.65 cm). She managed to hold the record from February 2013 until her death in 2020. It is noteworthy that Pearl and Millie are relatives.
