A tiny female kitten named Mrs. Norris has been found by a Good Samaritan in her backyard. The kind resident fed the baby throughout the night before entrusting her to Jin's Bottle Babies Rescue, a shelter in Surprise, Arizona.

The kitten turned out to be a real fighter

It was Shelbi Uyehara who took the baby into her care. As she told Love Meow, she was impressed by the little fighter she'd met.

"She was only one day old, and yet she was already eating, and purring like a champion," she recalls. The young feline, weakened by the absence of mother's milk, soon got an infection and various intestinal problems.

But she wouldn't give up. Mrs. Norris was a real fighter, and thanks to a lot of care and love, the little one was soon on the mend.

This enabled her to join the other animals in her foster home, including a dog named Ava. Her meeting with Ava was different from all the others because it was love at first sight.

Love at first sight

Ava was used to taking care of foster kittens by grooming and warming them up, but her affection for Mrs. Norris was stronger than usual.

And it was reciprocated! The kitten demanded her best friend's attention every chance she got, and in return, Ava seemed to have eyes only for Mrs. Norris.
