Security Guard Helped This Sweet Stray Dog And The Pooch Wouldn't Stop Coming Back To Him

A Philippine mall security guard feeds all local stray dogs that roam near his place of work. Moreover, he has a surprisingly warm relationship with one of the dogs. This kind man has a heart of gold!

Gretel Eleazar from the Philippines spotted this pair in a shopping mall in Cebu City back in August. The mall security guard was stroking the stray dog that had wandered in. Gretel, who works as an animal rescuer, approached the man and found out what kind of dog it was. The woman heard an amazing story that touched her heart.

For years, Danilo Reyeg, a mall security guard, has been feeding stray dogs roaming outside the mall. Although they're not allowed inside, the man has a special relationship with a pooch named Franci. Once he fed her, she wouldn't stop coming back to him.

The grateful dog always stayed by the man's side and wouldn't leave his place of work for months. He and another guard continued to feed her, and earlier this year they found out that Francie was pregnant. She gave birth to healthy puppies outside the mall, and Danilo and his colleague helped her deliver the babies.

They placed the dog family with their friends' family. The security guard's kind actions inspired other employees at the mall to take care of homeless dogs. The mall staff is now taking care of Micmic, a sick dog.

"Danilo pays the mall landscaper to help him feed and bathe a dog named Micmic," says Gretel. "Also, they've made arrangements with a lady who works at the restaurant inside the mall to feed the dogs food scraps."

Being inspired by Danilo and Franci's friendship, Gretel now runs a social media account Saving Strays Cebu with the aim to help stray dogs.

Together with Mr. Reyeg, they were able to get Franci spayed, and they're also in the process of sending a sick Micmic for treatment. Many thanks to these kind people with big hearts!
